Hecht's Moves To The Suburbs

In 1947, the Hecht Brothers opened one of the nation's first, full-service suburban stores in the Silver Spring, Maryland.

Like the downtown Washington Store, it was named The Hecht Company.

The Hecht Company operated The Hub and Hecht Brothers for many years in Baltimore.  Finally, in 1951, the Baltimore Stores were consolidated under one name - The Hecht Company.
