The news came as a shock!! Yes Federated was buying US!! How could that be? We were the best department store in the Mid Atlantic. How could a company that everytime I visited never seamed to have any help around. A company that really had and has no clue how to deliver great customer service. A company that dresses the employees like penguins and talks a good game but in the end does not care about the employees except for the bottom line.
To all the employees, management and suppliers looking back the Hecht company really knew how to run a department store. This site is dedicated to all the employees, staff and upper management that made us a success.
